Screen Washington County
“Screen Washington County” aims to increase awareness of the importance of being screened for colorectal cancer. If you are over 50 or have a family history of colon cancer, ask your healthcare provider about getting screened today. Getting screened for colon cancer could save your life. Nearly 300 Mainers die from colon cancer each year, but as many as 90% of these deaths can be prevented by screening.
Screen ME! is an initiative of the Maine Colorectal Cancer Control Program, Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Health and Human Services. This initiative is dedicated to helping Mainers prevent colon cancer. For more information, including financial help, call 1-877-320-6800.
